Humanscale is committed to environmental sustainability and continually strives to design, engineer and manufacture products that— compared to others in the same class—consume less of the Earth’s limited resources. This is accomplished by creating products that:
• Weigh less, requiring less raw material
• Use fewer parts and manufacturing processes
• Contain a high percentage of recycled content
• Contain a high percentage of recyclable content
Whenever possible, Humanscale uses aluminum as its material of choice. Our aluminum is 100% recycled and recyclable. It never degrades, so it can be reused over and over again. And because recyclers are paid a premium for aluminum scrap, we believe that the aluminum in our products will almost surely be recycled when the time comes. Using aluminum usually costs us more than plastics or other alternatives, but our products are better for it. And so is the environment.
